Sweden
Stockholm · Gothenburg · Malmö
~30,000 Lebanese Swedes from the civil-war era, now settled citizens and homeowners — with modest but real second-home demand back in Lebanon.
Can foreigners buy? No restrictions on foreign buyers. Most Stockholm apartments are bostadsrätter — you buy membership in a housing cooperative, and the board must approve you.
Where Sweden searches
The platforms locals actually use. Every link opens the source itself — NAKIL shows you the map; the listings live with them.
Hemnet
Good for buying a homeSweden's near-monopoly sales portal — effectively every brokered home sale in the country is here, with final sold prices published.
Booli
Good for buying a homeBank-owned search engine aggregating brokers' own sites plus sold-price history and valuations — catches pre-market stock and grounds your price expectations.
Qasa
Sweden's main rentals marketplace (Blocket's housing arm folded into it in 2025) — first- and second-hand rentals with contracts, deposit-free guarantees and vetted tenants.
Agencies worth knowing

Buying a home in Sweden — how it works
- 1Everything sells through licensed brokers (mäklare) and virtually everything lists on Hemnet — bidding wars by SMS are the norm.
- 2A bostadsrätt purchase means joining the cooperative: check the association's finances (its debt becomes your fee).
- 3Buying costs are unusually low (~1.5% stamp duty on houses, near-zero on bostadsrätter) — Sweden's catch is the queue-based rental market, not the buying process.
